Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Smoothie

How to Make this Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Smoothie

This triple-layer, fruit-loaded smoothie is the perfect way to cool down and stay healthy this 4th of July weekend! I love this recipe because not only is it super patriotic but it's loaded with delicious nutrients & vitamins from the fruit, yogurt, orange, and pomegranate juice. Then, add in some 310 Reds and 310 Vanilla Crème Shake for an extra healthy boost and full-body refresh! 

It tastes just as good as it looks... and I promise it's not too difficult to make! The key is to blend each color separately, (making sure to clean the blender in between each color!). Don't overdo the blending on this one though because a thicker smoothie helps maintain better layers. Then, gently spoon one color on top of the other to create that perfectly layered look. 

Not only will you be celebrating the 4th of July in style but you'll be getting your daily dose of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants while you do it!

Ingredients:

This recipe is meant for one serving size. But feel free to triple the recipe if you want to make this a shareable patriotic beverage for your 4th of July cookout!

Blue Layer:
  • 2 oz pomegranate juice
  • ½ frozen banana, sliced
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup ice
  • 1 tbsp honey
White Layer:
  • 1 scoop 310 Vanilla Crème Shake
  • 2 oz orange juice (or the juice from 1 orange)
  • ½ cup ice
  • ½ cup yogurt, plain or vanilla
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
Red Layer:
  • 1 scoop 310 Reds
  • ¼ cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries, halved
  • ½ frozen banana, sliced
  • ½ cup ice

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients for the blue layer in a blender and blend until smooth, while still maintaining a slightly thicker smoothie consistency (this helps with the layering!). Place in the freezer while preparing the next layer.
  2. Clean out the blender and repeat for both the white and red layers.
  3. Instead of pouring (which can cause the colors to collide!) gently spoon each layer of the smoothie on top of one another.
  4. Garnish with blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries and enjoy!
