Tell us about your journey to better health…

Unfortunately, obesity runs in my family so I knew it would always be a battle. I have three children and gained a lot of weight with each pregnancy. With limited time on my hands and a busy schedule, it was hard to find time for healthy eating and exercise.

What motivated you to make a change?

After my third pregnancy, I was the biggest I’ve ever been. I felt tired and horrible all the time. I constantly struggled with severe lower back pain after giving birth and had difficulty getting up out of chairs. I knew that if I didn’t start making a change soon, my body could possibly get worse. I wanted to be healthy for my kids.

In general, my biggest struggles were always time and energy. I work full time at a very busy doctor’s office, go to school and come home right to job #2 as a mom. By the time I’m done with everything, I’m completely wiped out and it’s close to the time I need to go to bed! Now, I know that if I can at least minimally do a strengthening workout and yoga in my room before bed I have accomplished my workout goal.

Tell us about your success!

I finally saw an ad on the internet for 310, and decided to try it out… that was six months ago. And in that time I have lost 47 lbs. by switching to a healthier diet that includes 310 Shakes! My starting weight was 252 lbs. and my current weight is 205 lbs. – which is incredible. I only have 15 lbs. left to reach my goal weight of 190 lbs., but I also feel great right now!

Tell us about your healthy lifestyle routine…

Currently, I drink one 310 Shake per day. I also use 310 Shake powder in other foods that I like for breakfast, like waffles, overnight oats, etc. It’s awesome that I can use it in different tasty ways. And for my other meals, I try to keep them as healthy as possible.

As for exercise, I usually get 3 cardio workouts in per week, walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes at a time. I strive to do my strengthening and yoga workouts 5-6 times per week, 30 minutes before bedtime. I really started my workout routine right after I started 310, so the shakes helped. I knew it was time, and knew that if I was going to start the shakes, exercise also had to be involved.

One of my favorite shake recipes is called Banana Mocha Chip, and uses 310 Mocha, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, cacao nibs, and half a banana. Blend and enjoy!

Do you have advice for anyone just starting their journey?

My advice to anyone just starting out is don’t quit! The scale can be your biggest enemy and just because you don’t see the number going down, never get discouraged. The weight will come off, just keep working!
