Low-Carb Chocolate Almond Shake Recipe

If you're following a low-carb diet, it's not always easy to find shake recipes that taste amazing yet fit into your dietary goals. So, here’s an indulgent Low-Carb Chocolate Almond Shake that’s incredibly satisfying and will surely fulfill your cravings for sweets. The almond butter and avocado in this shake not only add creaminess, but omega-3 fatty acids that are essential to overall health!

To keep this shake low-carb, I use one of my favorite ingredients: frozen cauliflower rice. It’s a great alternative to frozen banana because it still makes your shake thick and creamy without adding any flavor. Swap out frozen bananas with frozen cauliflower rice in any recipe and you'll instantly have a low-carb version. You’ll also be sneaking in a serving of veggies and fiber, so it’s a win-win situation!

What You Need to Make this Shake

This shake is bursting with flavor, but is actually made with just a few simple, whole food ingredients. All you need is 310 Organic Chocolate, frozen cauliflower rice, avocado, unsweetened almond milk, almond extract, almond butter, and ice. I like using frozen avocado when I want more thickness in my shake, or when I don’t have a ripe avocado readily available. You can typically find frozen avocados next to the frozen fruit section if you want to stock up on this fruit!

Just because you’re following low-carb guidelines doesn’t mean you can’t satisfy your sweet tooth! If you're a chocolate lover, 310 Organic Chocolate is what you need for when the cravings hit. It’s made with plant-based Stevia and monk fruit for a naturally-sweetened shake that has a delicious and rich cocoa taste without any artificial flavors, additives, or sugar.

  • 310 Collagen for an additional 11g of protein
  • Almonds for a crunchy texture
  • Chia, hemp, or flax seeds for more healthy fats
  • Spinach or kale for an easy way to sneak in leafy greens

How to Make this Shake

To make this shake, just combine all the ingredients into your blender and blend on a medium-to-high speed for 40 to 60 seconds until everything is thoroughly combined. After a smooth consistency is achieved, serve your chocolaty treat in a glass or shaker cup and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop 310 Organic Chocolate
  • 1 cup frozen cauliflower rice
  • 1/2 avocado, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 cup ice

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  2. Serve and enjoy!
