The taste is similar to when you add dates to a shake, except sweet potatoes also help add volume, thickness, and sustenance. It’s also peak sweet potato season so you can get the best and freshest flavors of fall while shopping seasonally and economically!
This hearty shake is balanced with all the nutrients your body needs to function properly with complex carbs, healthy fats, and plant-based proteins. Sweet potatoes are packed with fiber which is great for your gut and digestion. Along with almond butter and 310 Organic Salted Caramel, this dynamic trio is sure to prolong feelings of fullness while satisfying your sweet tooth!
What You Need to Make this Shake
The ingredients in this recipe are 310 Organic Salted Caramel, steamed or roasted sweet potato, unsweetened almond milk, almond butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and ice. There are many types of sweet potatoes, but I typically just stick with the traditional deep orange variety.

I am obsessed with this combination and how well the two flavors balance each other out!

It’s time for my favorite part of the recipe: shaking things up! For these fall-inspired shakes, simply think about your personal pie preferences and add those elements into your recipe to satisfy your taste buds. Take a look at some popular alternative ingredients that you can try incorporating!
- Add rolled oats or half a frozen banana in addition to sweet potato
- Cashew butter instead of almond butter
- Crushed walnuts or pecans for a crunchy texture
- Oat milk instead of almond milk
- Dash of nutmeg or clove for more of a spiced flavor
How to Make this Shake
The first step of this shake is cooking your sweet potato. If you meal prep, this is an easy step to add in while you prepare your dishes.
For roasted sweet potato, just simply prick your washed sweet potato evenly with a fork and place onto a baking sheet or wrap in foil. After preheating the oven to 400 degrees, bake your sweet potatoes for 45-55 minutes until tender.
If you want to steam your sweet potatoes, clean and prick your potatoes and then place them into your steamer for 15-20 minutes until soft.
Once you have your cooked sweet potatoes, allow them to cool and remove the skin. Reserve half a cup for the shake and save the rest for a snack! Next, combine all your ingredients into a blender and blend until you reach a smooth and creamy consistency. Pour your finished shake into a glass or shaker cup, garnish with a dash of cinnamon, and enjoy your healthy fall sweet treat!

- 1/2 cup steamed or roasted sweet potato, skin removed and cooled
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup ice
- Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
