Chocolate Cherry Protein Shake

Are you tempted by chocolate as much as I am?! I love making dark chocolate dipped apples or strawberries at home for a treat and I'm also a big fan of chocolate-covered dried fruit! I recently tried chocolate-covered cherries and I'm obsessed. Instantly inspired, I created this Chocolate Cherry Protein Shake that's full of antioxidants from cherries and cacao powder to support your immunity while satisfying your sweet tooth!

Loaded with protein, this shake is super filling and ideal as a post workout drink or healthy snack. I add a scoop of 310 Collagen for an additional 11g of protein to help meet my daily protein intake and support my hair, skin, nails, and joints! 310 Collagen is flavorless so it’s the perfect booster to add into smoothies, coffee, or shakes like this one!

What You Need to Make this Shake

To make this shake, you just need seven simple ingredients: 310 Organic Chocolate, frozen cherries, unsweetened almond milk, vanilla extract, cacao powder, 310 Collagen, and ice. The addition of cacao powder adds even more cocoa flavor, and who doesn’t want a little extra chocolate in their shakes?

If you know me, you know I'm a big advocate for shaking up and personalizing these recipes! I rarely make the same shake twice because it just depends on what I have in the pantry at the moment. Take a look at your own pantry and see how you can customize this recipe with these alternative ingredients or whatever else you have available!

  • 1/2 cup of frozen cherries with 1/2 cup of frozen cauliflower rice for a low carb version
  • Coconut milk or cashew milk instead of almond for extra creaminess
  • Cashew butter for added healthy fats and even more protein
  • Cacao nibs for more chocolate flavor and crunchy texture

How to Make this Shake

Finally, the moment you've been waiting for, making the shake!  Add all your ingredients into a blender and blend on a medium to high setting until everything is smooth and combined, which takes under a minute. Make sure there are no chunks remaining and pour your sweet treat into a glass, then enjoy!
