The Green Power Shake Recipe

Imagine if you could get a full serving of veggies into a meal without ever lifting a fork! I know how hard it can be to squeeze enough nutritious greens into your diet, especially on extra-busy days when you don’t have time to sit down and eat a proper meal. With this Green Power Shake, you can get in your daily veggies in a delicious protein smoothie that satisfies your sweet tooth and cravings in a totally nutritious way.

With 19g of protein and 14g of super-healthy fats, this wholesome smoothie will keep you full for hours!

You may think that buying a smoothie at the store qualifies as a fast and convenient lunch, but store-bought, packaged smoothies can often be full of added sugars and other additives. So, why not make your own green smoothie  and know exactly what you’re putting into your body?

This shake is made with 310 Vanilla, avocado, spinach, a date, and unsweetened almond milk, for a simple yet delicious drink that can be enjoyed any time of day!

Ready to replace unhealthy meals with this delicious shake?! Let’s go over a few unique health benefits this nutrient-dense smoothie may offer, before diving into the full recipe!

Rich, Dessert-Like Taste: 310 Vanilla Shake

The first ingredient in this recipe is the totally-yummy 310 Vanilla Shake! While there’s a variety of 310 Meal Replacement Shake flavors to choose from, I enjoy vanilla in this particular smoothie because the subtle flavors of the other ingredients allow the vanilla bean notes to really shine through. 310 Vanilla (along with every other 310 flavor) is also sweetened with just plant-based Stevia, so you can have that sweet dessert-like flavor in a totally nutritious way!

From first glance at this recipe, you might think spinach is the only source of greens, but what if I told you it's not? 310 Shakes actually offer an impressive blend of superfood veggies in every serving, including broccoli, spinach, kale, spirulina, and maca root, to easily boost your daily greens and nutrient intake!

AND, to balance your diet even further, 310 Shakes also contain three different types of plant-based proteins (pea, brown rice, and hemp), along with 5g of dietary fiber to help keep you full and satisfied throughout the day.

Velvety Texture & Healthy Fats: Avocado

For extra creaminess and thickness, avocado is actually one of my personal go-to smoothie ingredients! If you watch any of my Thirsty Thursday Recipe Videos in the 310 Nutrition Facebook Community, you'll know I highly recommend it. But, I will also say beware because it's majorly addicting in the best way possible!

If you've noticed avocados rising in popularity on social media in smoothies recently, there's totally a reason for that, and here’s why… Avocados are full of good fats (monounsaturated and polyunsaturated), that not only add a velvety texture to your smoothies, but also help satisfy your appetite and keep you full for longer. Plus, they're also a source of vitamin A, E, and K, along with dietary fiber to support digestion!

(Side note: did you know that avocado is actually a fruit? Crazy I know!)

TIP: If you find your avocados ripening too quickly, you can actually cut them up and freeze them to use in your shakes!

Nutrient-Packed Leafy Green: Spinach

Last but not least, spinach is the final ingredient I want to highlight in this recipe! While spinach is available year-round, it’s actually in season through June, so you should be able to find this nutrient-packed leafy green at a great price right now!

If you’re not a fan of spinach, I promise the 310 Vanilla Shake combined with the naturally sweet date in this recipe will mask the taste completely – so you can enjoy a true “sweet treat” while getting a full serving of greens!

Spinach is packed with nutrients including vitamins K, A, and C, as well as iron, manganese, and fiber, to help support great digestion and overall health.
