Creamy Carrot Smoothie Recipe

This Creamy Carrot Smoothie tastes like a slice of carrot cake but is made with nutritious whole food and vegan ingredients - to satisfy your sweet tooth in an incredibly healthy way! Blend it up in less than a minute for a wholesome meal, snack, or dessert!

Creamy Carrot Smoothie Recipe

Baby carrots are one of my go-to snacks because they’re crunchy, sweet, easy to prepare, and of course, packed with nutrition! I can’t always finish a bag by myself, and my favorite way to make sure they don’t go to waste is by blending them up in a delicious smoothie - which is how this Creamy Carrot Smoothie was created. Although carrots are more commonly used in savory dishes, they pair beautifully with sweet ingredients for a nutritious and tasty dessert that can be enjoyed as a snack or meal.

This smoothie may taste like a slice of carrot cake, but it’s full of essential micro and macronutrients to support and balance your health. Carrots contain powerful plant compounds and are a source of beta carotene, which your body can then convert into vitamin A. With 17g of plant-based proteins and 10g of dietary fiber, this smoothie is a yummy treat that will fuel your body while satisfying your taste buds!

What You Need to Make this Smoothie

First, let’s review the ingredients that are in this recipe. I used 310 Organic Vanilla, unsweetened almond milk, carrots, frozen banana, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and ice. To save time, I used baby carrots, but you can use regular carrots too. Just make sure you peel them first!

This smoothie is mouthwatering as-is, but feel free to add your favorite add-ins to bump up the flavor even more! Check your pantry for any of the following ingredients to incorporate even more nutrition.

  • Almond butter or cashew butter
  • Chia or hemp seeds
  • Coconut milk instead of almond milk
  • Dash of nutmeg
  • Low-carb version: frozen cauliflower rice instead of banana

How to Make this Smoothie

It’s time to assemble this recipe! First, chop or grate a quarter cup of carrots. Next, add the carrots and almond milk into the blender and blend on a high setting until a smooth puree is formed.

Once you have your carrot puree, combine the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend again on a medium-to-high setting until everything is thoroughly mixed and creamy. Finally, pour your finished smoothie into a glass, garnish with a dash of cinnamon, and enjoy your health-supporting drink!
