Low-Carb Pear Cucumber Smoothie Recipe

Take a break from all the spiced fall flavors and cleanse your palette with this light and refreshing Low-Carb Pear Cucumber Smoothie! Pears aren't an ingredient that I commonly use, but they’re in season throughout autumn, so I wanted to take advantage of this seasonal juicy fruit in a tasty and creative way. Paired with cucumber, this unique flavor combo is absolutely invigorating, and can be enjoyed as a satisfying meal or snack while staying aligned with low-carb guidelines.

Not only does this smoothie have great flavor, but it's loaded with health-boosting properties to nourish your body. Both pear and cucumber have powerful plant compounds that support immunity and help fight inflammation so you can feel your best. Additionally, the cucumber in this smoothie helps promote hydration and as we enter colder, dryer weather, you can stay hydrated in a delicious way!

What You Need to Make this Smoothie

All you need to make this smoothie is seven simple ingredients: 310 Organic Vanilla, unsweetened almond milk, pear, cucumber, hemp seeds, vanilla extract, and ice. For this recipe, I recommend freezing the cucumber slices overnight to give the smoothie a thicker consistency.

How to Make this Smoothie

The day or night prior to making this smoothie, you first want to peel and slice half a cup of cucumber and place it in the freezer to allow it to freeze overnight. You can also peel and slice your pear during this step as well to save you time when you’re ready to make the smoothie.

Once you have your pear and frozen cucumber slices, all you have to do is combine the remaining ingredients in a blender and blend until everything is completely smooth. Once you achieve a creamy consistency, pour your smoothie into a glass or shaker cup, if you’re taking it on-the-go. And there you have it... a refreshing, low-carb smoothie that anyone can enjoy!

Ingredients: 

  • 1 scoop 310 Organic Vanilla
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 small pear, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, peeled, sliced and frozen 
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  2. Serve and enjoy!
