Low-Carb Cocoa Almond Shake Recipe

Cake for breakfast anyone? This Low-Carb Cocoa Almond Shake tastes like a slice of yummy chocolate cake while being made with whole foods to support your health and wellness goals. There’s zero added sugars, artificial flavorings or additives, for a delicious shake that is naturally full of indulgence and flavor!

This dessert-like shake is balanced with 24g of protein and 10g of dietary fiber to help you stay full for hours. It’s truly the perfect breakfast, snack, pre-or post-workout shake, or healthy dessert that will satisfy your sweet tooth while keeping you aligned with your low-carb guidelines! There’s even 13g of healthy fats from Greek yogurt and almond butter to provide additional nutrients to your diet.

What You Need to Make this Shake

First, I’m going to quickly go over the ingredients in this recipe. I used 310 Organic Vanilla, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, frozen cauliflower rice, vanilla extract, cacao powder, almond butter, plain Greek yogurt, and ice.

310 Organic Vanilla

I personally find that the cacao powder offers enough chocolate flavor for this shake, but you can use 310 Organic Chocolate for a stronger cocoa taste, if desired! Regardless of which flavor you use, 310 Shakes are the best way to add immense nutrition, creaminess, and natural sweetness in a completely sugar-free way.

310 Shakes also have a unique blend of plant-based proteins from pumpkin, pea, and brown rice to offer 5g of fiber and 15g of protein per serving. These meal replacement shakes are my top recommendation for friends and family and here are some major reasons why…

  • Free from soy, gluten, dairy, nuts, GMOs, and sugar
  • Vegan, keto, and paleo-friendly
  • Use in coffee, oatmeal, chia seed puddings, healthy baked goods, and more
  • Contains a blend of organic superfoods including ginger, turmeric, broccoli, and more

Recipe Variations

This shake is delicious the way it is, but as with all recipes, you can always personalize it however you’d like! Check out some ways you can “shake up” this smoothie while staying in line with low-carb guidelines.

  • Add butter extract for cake-like flavor
  • Add almonds for texture
  • Add cacao nibs for chocolate chip taste
  • Use coconut yogurt for a fully vegan version
