As someone who loves all types of fruits, it’s hard for me to pick a favorite, but mango is definitely up there on my list! It's juicy, sweet, and full of flavor, making it perfect to enjoy in smoothies or by itself as a snack. Plus, mango is loaded with vitamin C to help the body fight against free radicals, possibly reducing body inflammation and improving overall health and wellness!

This Tropical Mango Smoothie tastes like summer in a cup and will definitely help you beat the heat. It’s a delicious, fruity and vegan treat that can be enjoyed by everyone!

What You Will Need to Make this Smoothie

This tropical smoothie may be complex in terms of flavor, but it couldn’t be simpler to make. All you need is 310 Organic Unflavored, freshly-squeezed orange juice, water, frozen mango, frozen pineapple, banana, and chia seeds. If you’re familiar with these recipes, you know I’m a strong advocate for fresh juice in recipes like this because it truly does make a difference in terms of nutrition, plus it brightens up the taste of the whole drink! You just need one orange for this smoothie or alternatively, you could use fresh-pressed orange juice from the store.

I used to make this smoothie with no protein powders because I wanted to maintain the tartness of the fruity flavors, but since we just released our new 310 Organic Unflavored, I had to try it out; and I have to say it's just as amazing as before! 310 Organic Unflavored does not alter the flavors of the recipe at all and I still taste the natural fruity and tart flavors that are in this smoothie!

I am a big fan of going off the book when it comes to recipes! It makes the process more fun and creative and you never know what delicious concoction you might come up with. If you want some ideas on how you can change up this smoothie, check out some of these alternative ingredients you can try incorporating.

  • Flax/hemp seeds instead of chia seeds
  • Almond/coconut milk instead of water for a creamier smoothie
  • Coconut water instead of orange juice to cut back on tartness
  • Or whatever else you think of!

How to Make this Smoothie

Made in under five minutes, all you need to do is combine the ingredients into your blender and blend on a high setting until all the ingredients are combined and completely smooth. Serve your smoothie in a glass or shaker cup and sip away!

Pro tip: If you want to make this smoothie more of a thick consistency like frozen yogurt to enjoy as a summer treat, just omit the water (or orange juice) and start blending on a low speed, slowly increasing to a high speed until a thick, creamy consistency is achieved. Scoop out your “fro-yo” with a spatula and serve in a bowl and enjoy!

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop 310 Organic Unflavored
  • 1/2 cup freshly-squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup frozen mango
  • 1/4 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  2. Serve and enjoy!
