Banana Almond Shake Recipe

As we enter into another week of staying indoors, you may find yourself slowly adjusting to new routines and working with your family to create a “harmonious space”. If the close proximity to your kitchen and pantry stirs a continuous battle to resist sugary treats and snacks (as it sure is with us), we have you covered! This Banana Almond Shake tastes like a creamy, velvety banana pudding that MIGHT still keep you coming back to the kitchen, but only for the good stuff!

Made with ingredients including 310 Vanilla Shake, banana, almond butter, flax seeds, unsweetened almond milk, and cinnamon, you can get the best of both worlds by fueling your body and mind with clean, whole foods, while providing your taste buds with that irresistible dessert flavor.

This Banana Almond Protein Shake contains 22g of plant-based proteins, 14g of healthy fats, and 28g of nutritious carbs!

Keep reading for the full recipe and some of the unique health benefits this yummy smoothie provides!

Nutritious, Tasty Fuel: 310 Vanilla Shake

The first ingredient to build the foundation of this delicious Banana Almond Shake is 310 Vanilla Shake, giving a subtly-sweet vanilla bean flavor. This balanced meal replacement powder provides this recipe with a dessert-like quality, while using a healthier plant-based sweetener, Stevia – giving you a sugar-free protein powder that’s bursting with flavor as well as vitamins and minerals!

Did you know... 310 Vanilla Shake contains 15g of high-quality, plant-based protein?! Protein is a vital macronutrient that provides your body with the basic building blocks it needs to carry out vital functions, such as maintaining strong bones, joints, and cartilage. And, since macronutrients, like protein, can only be obtained through your diet, incorporating 310 Vanilla Shake into your day is a simple way to help meet your needs!

310 Vanilla Shake also contain 20 key vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, E, D, and K, and minerals potassium, calcium, zinc, and magnesium to help you reach daily needs as well as support optimal wellness and health weight. In addition, there’s also a blend of organic superfood greens for added antioxidants and phytonutrients that help to bolster your immune system and keep you well - because who couldn't use a little of that right now?!

Potassium-Rich Fruit: Banana

The next ingredient added into this shake is half of a frozen banana to help achieve a creamy consistency similar to ice cream, which truly takes it to next level in terms of texture and flavor! Pro Tip: If you have bananas ripening too quickly, you can easily peel and slice them, then put them in a bag or container in the freezer to easily grab for use in smoothies!

Nutrition: Bananas are a great source of fiber that can help support your digestive system while promoting satiety. In addition, the potassium in bananas can help support electrolyte balance.

Nutritious, Healthy Fat: Almond Butter

Finally, almond butter is one of my personal favorites! It's a totally nutritious and yummy ingredient that thickens and adds creaminess to any shake, while incorporating a rich, nutty flavor - yum! Almonds are a great way to add healthy fats, protein, and fiber into your diet… And what easier way to reap the benefits of this tree nut than with almond butter?!

Nutrition: The beneficial nutrients in this nut may promote good heart health by supporting good cholesterol levels. Not to mention, adding almond butter into your recipes is a great way to increase feelings of fullness to sustain your energy levels all day long!

Bonus: to add in an extra boost of healthy fats and protein, we've also including flax seeds in this recipe. Flax seeds are one of the best plant-based sources of omega-3's, an essential fatty acid that has been shown to be beneficial for heart health!
